About the Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a beautiful expression of God’s mercy and love. At St. Alphonsus Church, we invite all to encounter the healing grace of Christ through this sacrament of forgiveness. In Reconciliation, we come before God with humility and honesty, acknowledging our sins and receiving His unconditional mercy through the ministry of the priest.
Whether you’ve been away from the sacrament for a short time or many years, Reconciliation is a powerful way to renew your relationship with God and restore peace in your heart. It’s never too late to come home.
Reconciliation is especially important for children preparing to receive First Holy Communion. As part of our sacramental preparation program, children are gently guided to understand sin, forgiveness, and God’s love, and they receive their First Reconciliation in a supportive and prayerful setting.
Regular opportunities for Confession are available at St. Alphonsus, and additional times are offered during Advent and Lent. If you need help preparing or have been away from the sacrament, our priests are always happy to guide you through it.
